Looks like some big changes are coming to Pennsport.
Sacred Heart of Jesus School and its surrounding grounds at 3rd and Reed streets is on the market for $3.5 million, according to its listing. A few bids have come in for the 43,200 square foot property, according to a source familiar with it, including one that’s close to $2 million.

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia secured the services of mother and son team Kathy and Patrick Conway with Prudential Fox & Roach. Team Conway declined to comment on the offer, which seems a little low to us untrained observers.
Archdiocese officials are mulling over the offers for the school, which was closed down in June.
Speculation has been that, much like pending conversion of Annunciation BVM building at 12th and Wharton streets, a developer will buy the property and turn it into condos. The developer for the Annunciation school property, which also closed in June, has proposed a mixed use of condos and commercial space.
