What's Happening in:  Graduate Hospital

SoPhilly Spotlight: The Double Decker edition

For this week’s SoPhilly Spotlight, we showcase a 3-story, 2,000 square foot home in the Graduate Hospital area boasting central air, Viking kitchen appliances, a jacuzzi and TWO roof decks. The house, at 18th and Fitzwater, is listed by PruFoxRoach.

The massive black fireplace seems to overwhelm the room a bit, but we bet it’s pretty cozy in the winter when the fire’s going.

Fantastic 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath, 2000sqft home in a prime Graduate Hospital location overlooking the park! Features include a beautiful brick facade, hardwood floors throughout, finished basement, 9-10′ ceilings and custom open rise stairs and spindle system! Living room with gas fireplace. Kitchen with VIKING appliances, vent hood, exotic granite countertops and island. Large yard with EP Henry brick pavers. 2 huge bathrooms with marble tile, custom vanities, SPA like shower system and Jacuzzi tub!

The park they are referring to is the Marian Anderson Recreation Center, which the house overlooks. It’s listed at $539,900, which seems a fair price for all of these amenities, plus the location, which is convenient to Rittenhouse, Gray’s Ferry and University City.

They say the color red stimulates the appetite. Also, Viking appliances stimulate you to stand around in your kitchen for long periods of time.

This appears to be the basement. Is that natural sunlight?

A sunny bedroom with a real closet.

Here is a mystery to solve: How do you get to the second deck? With a ladder? Why is it open?

The bathrooms look like Michael York’s swinging bachelor pad in Logan’s Run.

What do you think? Is $539k a deal?

Plus that park sees its fair share of drug deals and shootings.
