Across South Philly in Pennsport, Naked Philly reports that the warehouse that caught fire and nearly destroyed Fralinger’s New Year’s will be torn down to make way for a new housing development.

Zoning notices recently went up at the burned out warehouse, indicating that developers intend to tear it down and replace it with eleven new single-family homes.

Ten of the houses will have two-car parking, so expect these suckers to be big. The project is scheduled to be discussed April 10 at a Pennsport civic meeting, so we’ll keep you posted.
