The Queen Village Neighbors Association has launched a fundraising campaign to bring some money to the businesses affected by the tragic fire this weekend that killed 53-year-old Capt. Michael Goodwin.
Several businesses were damaged or destroyed, including the longtime anchor of the corner Jack B. Fabrics.
The Moon & Arrow boutique that only opened this winter a few doors down said on its Facebook page that they were forced to close temporarily to repair smoke and water damage. The boutique Urban Princess was badly damaged, and several residents were displaced.
Are we missing any business? The QVNA kicked in the first $500. Click here to add to that.
Meanwhile, our partner Pennsporter snapped some pictures of the ride last night to memorialize Goodwin. The run started on Aramingo Avenue but ended at Goodwin’s home firehouse – Engine 53, Ladder 27 at 414 Snyder Ave.
