Soulistic Natural and Spiritual Healing, a shop at 1742 E. Passyunk Ave. that once sold natural remedies, spiritual healing sessions, and inspirational gifts, is now closed after less than a year.
“The lease for the building was up and the owners decided to close,” said a former business associate who works at Reliable Carpets at Passyunk and Tasker.
The building is now for sale for $279,000, which includes the storefront and a 2-bedroom apartment on the second and third floor. That sounds like a steal, but even the listing by Century21 Forrester says it’s being sold in as-is condition and needs a great deal of work.
When we passed by yesterday, though, the sale sign had been taken out of the second-floor window. Hopefully, whoever buys that place will gut the whole thing. That retail space has played host to a revolving door of businesses over the past 10 years, including a cigar shop, used record store, two homemade soap shops and another new-agey gallery called Enki (did we forget any?).
But don’t worry. You can still get your incense and tapestries up the street at Eclectic Expressionism.
