The fascinating Philadelphia Magic Gardens is hosting date night tours this summer on South Street.
The Philadelphia Magic Gardens is an art masterpiece created by mosaic artist, Isaiah Zagar (not to be confused with his Watkins Street masterpiece, which we showed you last month). The entire area is about the size of three large city lots, including indoor and outdoor galleries.
For the event on Thursday night, the galleries will be lit with candlelight and couples will learn about the real-life love story between Zagar and his wife, Julia. They will also discover the concealed symbols and art pieces that represent love and Isaiah and Julia’s love story, which are hidden throughout the galleries. And, it gets better.
A ticket to the date night also includes complimentary wine for the happy couples. Those attending will also have a chance to see a unique mosaic basement gallery that is not open to the general public.
The hour-long Philadelphia Magic Garden Date Night Tours are being held on Thursday, June 13 and Thursday, Aug. 8 at 6 p.m. It costs $12 for members and $15 for non-members.
According to the Philadelphia Magic Garden’s website, reservations are required to attend this event. You can reserve your spot by calling 215-733-0390 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
