SoPhilly Spotlight: Earth Tones edition

For this week’s SoPhilly Spotlight, we head to 1029 Mountain St., a 3-bedroom, 1.5 bath house spread over about 1130 square feet.

1029 Mountain

That beige theme really continues.

It’s been mostly renovated from what we can see, but the half-finished condition of the basement and the lack of pictures from the second floor make you wonder what they’re not showing.

Wonder if they renovated why they kept the 20 year old cabinets

It’s going for $309,900. And it still needs a little work. How’s that price sound?

Seems a bit high. Proximity to fountain that important?

In addition to the dated kitchen cabinets and half finishe basement (why no ceiling?) – I want to know why they left the window air conditioner built into the wall and didn’t put in central air. Even though I live one block over and part of me would love to see a house sell for that, it’s not worth the asking price.

That house is a mess. Having said that, I hope they get full asking price.

Looked up the comps. Here’s the reason: 1033 Mountain., sold last month for asking price, $250.

Days on market? One (1) !!

Yeah…once I looked at the comps it all made sense. I would NOT pay that much for this house, but some of the houses within one or two blocks of this look like an episode of Hoarders and are going for $289K. Check out 818 Morris…whoa.
