A new pizza shop, Nannie Franco’s, has opened up on the corner of 11th and Jackson, taking the place of the former 11th Street Pizzeria. And it’s one of the few places around where you can get a late-night delivery pizza fix
This new pizza shop offers a variety of foods, including burgers, sandwiches, wraps, appetizers, and of course…their specialty homemade pizza. Their website offers something that most restaurants do not have – their recipes! Some of the family style recipes include lasagna and pasta puttanesca.
Owners Dave Neukirch and Erin Aweau, who also own Nina’s Trattoria, a BYOB on 9th Street in the Italian Market, opened about a month ago.
Aweau said business has been going extremely well and they are already thinking about opening another location in the near future.
“Who doesn’t love the neighborhood? Everyone’s so friendly,” Aweau said. “We want to stay in this neighborhood and get settled, then think about opening up at another location.”
Their website also lists a Pizza Member email list that offers special deals and coupons.
Nannie Franco’s is open with delivery from Tues-Thurs 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Fri-Sat 11 a.m. to 3 a.m.
