We’re thrilled to announce that the Passyunk Post has added a new events calendar! You can access it by clicking on the link just below the search bar near the top right of any page. It looks like this:
The best part is that you can even add your own events – community cleanups, fundraisers, flea markets and anything else you want to tell the wider world. Submit an event here.
The calendar is still a work in progress and we’ve been scouring the Internet to find events to add. But soon we’re going start adding nightly bar specials, karaoke nights, quizzos and other regular events. Feel free to add your favorite regular events (you can add a recurring event) or let your business-owner friend know to get on board.
We hope that this calendar can become a valuable resource for South Philly, whether you’re looking for how to get involved in the community or for a new way to get a buzz on. With your help, it’ll get there quickly.
The calendar is one of several changes we’ve rolled out in the past few weeks. In addition to a new design by the wonderful Samantha Slade of Auspicious Consulting, we also recently changed web-hosting services, so the site should be loading faster than ever.
Another feature of the new site design are RSS feeds by category. So if you don’t want to miss anything about, say, restaurants, you can click that category at the top of the home page, then subscribe to that feed by clicking the little RSS button that’s just above the neighborhood name of the first post. You can also subscribe to all posts about a certain neighborhood. Find your neighborhood by clicking the drop-down below the newsletter box at the top right.
