A casual French-influenced restaurant called The Good King Tavern is shooting to open by the end of October, the Insider reports.
The restaurant by father and daughter Bernard and Chloe Grigri is moving into 614 S. Seventh St., the space previously held by Chick’s Social.
Zagat Philly reports that the chef will be Paul Lyons. Says the blog:
Paul Lyons has been named opening chef. Lyons (above, right) was chef de cuisine this summer at Morgan’s Pier(he recently left), and also worked with George Sabatino at Stateside and Barbuzzo. Located just south of South Street, the bar has the potential to develop into a real hot spot. We’ll be looking forward to it.
Jeez, Sabatino’s influence keeps spreading. He also designed the menu at Boot and Saddle, which has been served for about a week now.
