Win FREE tickets to Yards tap contest at NextFab Studios (includes beer)

What’s the best way to encourage and support local artists? Why, with beer of course!

That’s one of the reasons we’re giving away FREE tickets to the Yards Tap Handle Throwdown next week at NextFab Studio, the industrial co-working space on Washington Avenue. (see below how to enter)

As part of the Design Philadelphia festival, NextFab has teamed up with Yards Brewing Company for a contest that pits designers and artists from throughout the city against one another to see who can create the perfect tap handle for Yards’ beer.

Prizes for the best design, besides bragging rights, include a $200 gift card from Yards, a free membership to NextFab and the pleasure of seeing the homegrown tap handle being used at various bars in the city. The submission process is now closed (you can see all of the submitted designs here), but NextFab wants everyone to get into the voting spirit … by throwing a party.

The Throwdown Gala will be held Oct. 17 from 6-9 p.m. at NextFab (2025 Washington Ave.) and will allow the general public to mingle with the designers, vote for the best tap handle, drink complimentary Yards brews and tour the NextFab facility.

Tickets can be snagged here for $10.

Enter our contest to win two free tickets by signing up for our weekly newsletter, which you can do by scrolling up to the top of this page and filling in your email address where it says “Get the Weekly Passyunk Post Newsletter.”
