The FringeArts festival has moved into its new year-round home at Columbus Boulevard and Race Street and its new show “17 Border Crossings” debuts next week, running Nov. 13 to 17.
Even better, we’re giving away tickets. Just sign up for our newsletter by clicking here or entering your email address in the field at the top right of any page. On Monday, we’ll pick two winners from our subscribers, who will each get two tickets to the show either on opening night, Nov. 13, or the next night, Nov. 14.
Written by and starring Thaddeus Phillips, the show takes audiences to the frontiers of Egypt, Bosnia, Cuba, Brazil, Morocco, Colombia, Austria, Bali, Czech Republic, Israel, Jordan, Serbia, Croatia, Italy and Mexico.
It’s based on Phillip’s actual border crossing experiences. Says Fringe:
The performance style draws inspiration from stand-up comedy, the Balkan films of Emir Kustarica, the floor shows of the Tropicana in Havana, musicals about Austria, cheap magic, Native myths from the Amazon jungle and Chilli Relleno recipes.
For tickets, if you just want to buy them rather than winning them, and more information click here.
