7-home development planned for vacant lot at 21st and Federal

The owner of a 5,700 square foot vacant lot at 21st and Federal is proposing to build seven single-family homes in that booming section of Point Breeze.

A zoning appeal hearing has been scheduled for March 4 for 2055 Federal St., a parcel that was bought in May under the name Phila Lifestyle Inc for $200,000, according to city records.

The homes appear to be coming with what has now become the standard for new construction: roof decks with pilot houses and interior parking accessed by a common driveway. We haven’t been able to get our hands on any renderings just yet, but we’ll keep trying.

The project is down the block from the new location for Breezy’s Cafe and the OCF Coffeehouse and just around the corner from a proposed 50-home development. That section of town will be practically unrecognizable in five years, huh?
