You may have heard a rumor last week that Wegman’s was coming to a Bart Blatstein development proposed for Broad and Washington. We did some digging and learned that it wasn’t actually the case.
Nevertheless, the source of that rumor, PhillyChitChat, stands by his sources, and so we have decided to accept his challenge of a friendly wager. The loser of the bet, which is specifically about whether the grocery chain will end up opening a store at this particular Blatstein development, will donate $500 to a cause chosen by the winner.
And to mark the friendly nature of this whole deal, we have both agreed to sit in the dunk tank at whatever Beer Week falls after a formal announcement is made about the grocery tenant for the development (that is, if they’ll have us).
Now, the way things stand, we hope that we’re wrong and right at the same time. Either way, everybody wins.
So, are we crazy? And if not, what organization should get our winnings?
