Litter is one of those nagging issues that the city just can’t seem to get a handle on – yet – so we all need to do our part. To that end, it’s that time of year again for new beginnings and the 7th annual Philadelphia Spring Cleanup on Saturday, April 5, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Residents are encouraged to rid Philadelphia of the rotting filth stewing under the snow all winter. Last year more than 13,000 volunteers collected 1,014,540 pounds of trash and 23,341 pounds of recycling across the city.
Do your part to make the streets cleaner and safer. Cleanup stations are located throughout the city, and volunteers are needed at all of them. Register as a volunteer here, or register a cleaning project here.
