Calling all artists for South Street spring festival, May 3

Did you spend your winter hibernation knitting socks and sweaters? Building bird houses? Painting masterpieces?

Avoid the need for a storage unit and apply for a booth at the May 3 Spring Festival on South Street. It’s the perfect place for local artists and craftspeople to get their creative genius in front of throngs of happy spring revelers with money to spend!

And of course, the festival will also include plenty of booze and food, plus a kids zone, live music on three stages stretched out along South Street between Front and 8th. This year’s event will be the city’s largest block party.

Thirty restaurants, bars and food trucks will be slinging their goods along that eight-block stretch, including Brauhaus Schmitz’s annual German Maifest on the 700 block.
