  • Groundbreaking is tomorrow for a new 75,000 square foot building at the Navy Yard that will house the U.S. headquarters of companies from Australia and the United Kingdom, as well as additional offices for another company that’s grown past its current space there, reports the Philadelphia Business Journal.
  • The Newbold CDC is holding a happy hour for the new Newbold Business Council on May 1 on the fourth-floor deck of AJ Appliance at 15th and West Passyunk. West of Broad business owners should RSVP for the 5;30 to 8 p.m. happy hour, which includes free drinks and snacks, to president@newboldcdc.org.
  • Naked Philly says all the holes at 2nd and Washington have been filled with houses – almost.

I agree. The subway should run straight into the Navy Yard till around 5:00pm-6:00pm. And maybe stop at the very front of it after that time… I say this because I know they ask us for navy yard ID at the gat after around 5pm… So yeah either way, the Subway should be extended south to and/or through the Navy Yard.
