Italian Market’s Torero tapas bar closes after just five months

The tapas place called Torero, which brought a shot of late-night life into the Italian Market when it opened in December, has already closed.

Adios, amigo.

The security grate was rolled down during its posted hours last week and its Yelp entry says the restaurant has “moved” to Upper Darby. It seems that it actually merged with a restaurant there called Tabblon. Too bad, since it was getting great reviews on Yelp as recently as two weeks ago.

A worker at a neighboring business said that the place had recently started taking off but that a dispute between the owners led to the closure. We tried to confirm that but haven’t been able to just yet. If you still want the food, head here for some info on the new location.

The food was good but there was a “we don’t know how to run a restaurant” vibe.
