Lot & building next to Pat’s up for sale, already under contract

The embarrassment of a vacant lot next to Pat’s has a contract for sale — less than a week after realty signs went up on the 9th and Wharton parcel.

Naked Philly says that the lot and the building next to it, owned by Anna Olivieri of the Pat’s King of Steaks family, is being sold for $1.25 million and $275,000, respectively, according to the realtor.

You can see both realty signs

The same realty sign is on the half-building that collapsed in February on the opposite corner, but it’s not clear if that was included with the sale. We left a message with Leonardo Realty to find out and will update if we hear back.

The lot is zoned for single-family homes, so we’ll have to see what comes of it. For a vitriolic, hateful take on the lot, check out this post from City Paper’s Naked City blog. Quite the history lesson. As for the future, we’ll keep our ear to the ground.

hopefully this means less trash littering that area. that lot is just a giant trash can on weekends.

I never understood why pats or genos just cant put out more trash cans…or why their customers feel it’s ok to just throw their trash out on that lot or randomly in the street.

no more geno’s and pat’s tumbleweeds, please!
