  • An apartment project proposed three years ago may be getting underway at 18th and Washington now that a demolition notice has appeared on the building, reports Naked Philly. The 2011 proposal by the Carosella Brothers of C&R Building Supply, surely outdated by now, called for 15 apartments, ground-floor commercial and basement parking accessed by a far lift.
  • Construction on the 75-home development on a vacant Columbus Boulevard lot bordered by Catharine Street and the I-95 Washington Avenue off-ramp has begun, says Plan Philly. Earth movers were spotted leveling the ground to create a terraced base for the project above the flood plain.
