Witch Craft Beer Crawl to cast a spell over E. Passyunk Ave on Oct. 22

Looking for a Halloween-appropriate way to do a bar tour? The 5th Annual Witch Craft Beer Crawl is coming to E. Passyunk Ave. on Oct. 22.

To participate in the beer crawl, all you need is to spend $6.66–you know, the number of the Beast–in order to take advantage of $3.00 craft beers at 13 restaurants along the avenue. Check out the map!

Some of the participating locations include Adobe Café, Cantina los Caballitos, Noir, Stogie Joe’s, The Bottle Shop and more. In addition to the restaurants along the avenue, Bell’s Bike Shop and Passyunk Gardens will also be serving beverages, and Nicole Rae Styer Boutique will be offering a 20% discount on any orange and black items in the spirit of Halloween.

The full list of participating locations

The first 500 participants get a free witch hat. All participants also have the chance to win more than $325 in prizes. For each craft beer, food or beverage purchase, you will receive a stamp. After collecting five or more stamps, you will be entered for the $325 prize package. If you get more than 5 stamps, you’ll be given more chances to win the prize. So basically, the more you drink, the more likely you are to win stuff. Not a bad deal.

Registration is at Garage from 5:30 through 7:00 p.m. and stamp cards must be returned to Adobe Cafe by 9:30pm., though you can certainly continue drinking after that. You can purchase tickets online here.

I like craft beer, but these events bring out the worst, frat-boys and bro-ladies just getting hammered.

I’m amazed Brigantessa signed on for this event.
