Then you might want to seriously consider joining the Passyunk Beer Runners. Get started with their special run on Nov. 8 called the Craft Beer Run/Bike/Crawl from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Put in 7.5 miles on a Saturday afternoon while grabbing a beer at four South Philly bars, seven in all.

The group for hop-infused running was started a year ago by Jeffrey Wild and Rose Bender as a club that supported the local bars around E. Passyunk Ave. “We meet every Tuesday night at 7 p.m. on the corner of E Passyunk Ave.& Dickinson St. and run for 30 minutes to a different bar each week,” said Wild. The best part? Runners receive beer specials at each week’s designated bar. The list includes Cantina, Royal Tavern, Tap Room on 19th, The Bottle Shop, Garage, Devils Den, & Lucky 13.

Wild notes that it’s an easy way to build a community, “[runners] hang out for a few rounds to meet new people in the area.”  It’s grown from six to ten die-hards in the beginning to around 20 runners in recent weeks.

As for the Craft Beer Run/Bike/Crawl, Wild said it will kind of “piggyback” off of the popular Craft Beer Express, which also runs this Saturday. The event takes place from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will start at Brauhaus Schmitz at 718 South St. Here’s the full lineup, which is also available at the event’s Facebook Page:

Start: Brauhaus Schmitz
The Institute
Bishops Collar
Jose Pistolas
The Sidecar
Devil’s Den
Finish: P.O.P.E
