The shop serves coffee, which is sourced from La Colombe, in addition to the different foods including soups, potpies, paninis and baked goods.

The menu currently has some vegan options, but the selection is expected to expand in the future. The owners are also considering adding a brunch menu and possibly a dinner menu at some point.

Two best friends, owners Jennifer Penna and Joseph Reinard, opened Fa Caldo Caffe. Penna, the chef,  previously worked at Metropolitan Bakery. Reinard still balances his job as a chemistry teacher with the newly-opened café.

According to Penna, they are still planning more additions to the décor with the installation of a chalkboard menu and displaying Reinard’s vintage percolator collection on shelves in the shop.

Checked it out on Saturday. I’m not a coffee drinker so I can’t say anything about the coffee, but the turkey and brie panini that I had was delicious.
