New Beanstalk school enrolling now, set to start classes in February

In September we reported about the Beanstalk school opening in the former Meredith Preschool and Nursery location at 729 E. Passyunk Ave.

The facility is now ready to open, with a start date set for Feb. 2.

Beanstalk is a private preschool in Queen Village, catering to children between the ages of 3 and 6. The school offers three different programs, including the pre-school program, jr. kindergarten and extended care.

The school will use the STEM program, which introduces science, technology, engineering and mathematics to the children early on, in addition to art, music and play.

According to Beanstalk:

STEM allows children to explore, reflect and make observations across a variety of setting and learning disciplines. To enhance children’s research and investigative skills, real life experiences are infused into each lesson.

If you want to check out the facility, Beanstalk is holding open houses on Jan. 14 and Jan. 21 from 1 p.m. through 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. through 7 p.m. On Jan. 17 and Jan. 28, open houses will be held from 10 a.m. through 12 p.m.
