Rachel Robles and Daniel Cordua are opening up this space, to be called Palo Santo Wellness Boutique. Robles is a designer, jewelry maker and healer and Cordua is a yoga teacher, massage therapist, artist and healer. Together, the couple hopes to make the space a wellness sanctuary to “help guide your personal journey of mind, body, and spirit.”

The classes to be offered at Palo Santo will be small in size, with options including rigorous vinyasa yoga, yoga for beginners, pre-natal yoga, yoga for 50 +, pilates fusion, calisthenics, tai chi, meditation, yoga punx and yin yoga.

Cordua says they will also be offering therapeutic bodywork such as massage, deep tissue, reiki and thai yoga massage. In the future, they are also planning to have an acupuncturist, heath coach, aryuvedic lifestyle coach and more.

The boutique portion will sell jewelry, home goods, textiles, yoga-related items, devotional objects, plants and more.

According to Cordua, he and Robles aim to make the space “feel singularly magical, warming and healing.” Cordua and Robles have a connection with E. Passyunk Ave. and this location, having gone on their first date just across the street at Cantina.

In the future, Palo Santo Wellness Boutique will offer more community events and workshops.

This isn’t the only yoga studio or massage place to pop up in this neighborhood. Wake Up Yoga, the first yoga studio to open on E. Passyunk Ave., is located a block south and the former Frankie’s on the Avenue location could soon become a massage place.

Mondays the boutique will be closed, but the classes will still be in session. Hours are from Tuesday through Thursday, 11 to 7; Friday through Saturday, 11 to 9; Sunday, 11 to 3.
