Philly Spring Cleanup day on Saturday, April 11 is your chance to help cleanup the streets in your own neighborhood.

The 8th annual event is meant to bring together family, friends and neighbors to cleanup the streets we travel daily. Philadelphia has a bad reputation when it comes to trash and that’s something we’re hoping will change.

A look at all of the volunteer opportunities in South Philly.

This year’s event includes more than 40 opportunities to volunteer in South Philly, with many more opportunities in other parts of the city. Some of the cleanup projects include the surrounding properties of Southwark Elementary, Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society in Grays Ferry, Jefferson Square Park and more.

So why not volunteer for one of these cleanups and work to make a change? The city will be providing all of the necessary supplies for the cleanup.

The cleanup event on Saturday, April 11 will run from 9 a.m. through 2 p.m. To signup to volunteer, click here.
