Goose attacked by fox in Columbus Boulevard Walmart parking lot

When visiting Walmart, you can expect to see some oddities–but usually nothing like this.

(WE WERE ASKED TO REMOVE THE PHOTO, AND OBLIGED, so if you’d like to see it, check it out at Philly.com here)

On Sunday night around 11 p.m., a freelance photographer for the Inquirer and Daily News, Joseph Kaczmarek, captured photos of a fox attacking a goose in the parking lot of the Walmart at 1675 S. Columbus Blvd.

More from Philly.com:

Initially, Kaczmarek believed the animal was a dog. A closer look revealed it to be a fox stalking a Canada goose. The fox attacked the goose and began feeding. Several feral cats attempted to wrest the goose away, but the fox was able to fend them off. The fox rested for a bit in nearby grass before walking toward the Delaware River where it disappeared in the shadows.
