New restaurant could be coming to 21st and Federal

A new restaurant and bar could be coming to the former Burg’s Lounge at 1200 S. 21st St.

While we don’t yet know details on what the restaurant or bar will be, construction has been continuing on the site to create a third floor addition and update the long-vacant spot.

According to a Craigslist posting trying to rent out the apartment units on the second and third floor, the bar or restaurant coming to this spot is aiming to be open sometime this summer.

In recent years, Point Breeze has been seeing more and more developments. Just last week we told you about the new renderings for the proposed construction at 20th and Wharton.

    That ad is asking for $2200/month for a 2 bedroom apartment. I lived in that area for a while, and I understand rent is going up, but that seems like a ridiculous jump.
