The new sheriff’s sale app shows a total of 736 properties throughout the city which are scheduled for auction on May 5, along with the option to search for properties available at future auctions.

For each property, you are able to see the address, the expected opening bid for the property, the property’s assessed value, details on the size of the home and the attorney’s information. Some homes also include additional information. The app also has a google street view image of each of the addresses listed for auction.

For South Philly and beyond, this app is adding a new level of convenience to more easily locate information on foreclosed homes that will be made available at auction.

This is pretty cool. One would hope, since it is an app managed by the Sheriff’s office itself, that it will provide more accurate and timely information than the various other apps out there that handle the real estate market as a whole.
