First Pics: Antonio’s Deli opens in former Chickie’s Italian Deli

The well-liked Chickie’s Italian Deli closed up shop after more than 21 years in business just over a month ago at 1014 Federal St.

As of last Monday, a new business opened up in the location called Antonio’s Deli.

The transition into the location was pretty quick for Antonio’s since the general setup of the interior remained the same. There is no seating inside of Antonio’s, but there are a few tables outside.

The bread for the sandwiches is from Sarcone’s Bakery.

The shop primarily offers cold and hot hoagies, in addition to a variety of salads like pasta salad, avocado salad and potato salad. Antonio’s also offers various daily specials, like their specialty lasagna. Most items on the menu, except for party trays, are under $10.

One of the main attractions of Antonio’s is their hoagie party trays, which can be made for up to 30 people on one tray.

Good Luck! Your gonna need it.
Chickies Italian Deli was the best in Philly and well known all over. They had TRUE italian recipes and prepared food just like the old timers did.
I wish Henry George the best in his new CAREER choice.
There will never be a place as good as Chickies EVER
    So sad it closed.
