Philly Flavors ice cream shop is opening at 1928 E. Passyunk Ave.

Pretty soon you’ll have a new ice cream spot to try on East Passyunk Avenue.

Philly Flavors
Work was being done outside on Monday afternoon.

Last summer we told you about the Fairmount-based ice cream shop, Philly Flavors, proposing a new location at 1928 E. Passyunk Ave. Now those dreams of a new ice cream spot for summer could be becoming a reality now that work has started on the location.

We noticed the blue and white striped Philly Flavors awning pop up on the spot earlier this week. We don’t know the planned opening date for the ice cream shop just yet, but we’re crossing our fingers that it will be just in time for the hottest days of summer.

This East Passyunk Avenue location will be Philly Flavor’s fourth location. They also have locations in Fairmount, Rittenhouse Square and in the Gayborhood.

Philly Flavors carries frozen treats like ice cream, italian ice, milkshakes and other frozen treats.

We’ll update you once we have more info about an opening date for the spot.

Are you excited to have a new ice cream shop on the avenue this summer?

Incompetence has no boundaries! Just came from Philly Flavors and my first question is where is the owner or manager? No one is running the show and it’s the first week open. One woman is only capable if taking orders and money. I waited 10 minutes for a water ice and a soft serve cone while this worker just looked at me and one guy in the back did all the work. Not to mention all the soda’s have bottle caps and there’s no opener to be found. The store looks nice and the water ice and ice cream is good but they have to get the customer service end together.
