Atlantic Pizza up for sale in Columbus Square

The opportunity to open a new business has popped up across the street from the to-be-renovated Columbus Square Park.

Atlantic Pizza

Atlantic Pizza, located at 1401 S. 12th St., is closing after almost 30 years in business, leaving the location up for grabs.

If you’re in the market to open a restaurant, this space could be a perfect opportunity. The restaurant, but not the property, is currently on the market for $100,000. That includes 1,958 sq. ft. of space, in addition to the already-existing fixtures in the restaurant including the pizza oven, commercial mixer, commercial fryer, freezer and more.

For almost 30 years, Atlantic Pizza has served up breakfast, lunch and dinner at the location. Owners Ioannis and Vasiliki Haralambous have decided to give up the restaurant now to relax and enjoy retirement.

With the park renovation expected for Columbus Square, this area could be seeing some positive changes in the near future.

If you’re interested in the location, you can contact Ilene Wilder, who is also leading the fundraising effort for Columbus Square Park. You can see more about the property here, or contact Ilene at 215-893-9800.

What would you like to see replace Atlantic Pizza?

Someone needs to find out what their pancake secret is because they have some really good ones for a low price.

That’s a shame, the owners John and Betsy are really nice people. Decent food, but really, really nice people.

This is truly sad. I have fond memories of eating breakfast in this place. Possibly the best breakfast for the value, speed, and quality in all of Philly.

John and Betsy are really great wonderful people. Very hard working. They deserve to sell and relax. I just hope they get all the money out of it they want. Considering how gentrified the area is becoming and how much rent and home prices are sky rocketing in that area, I can see them making out pretty well.

I love this (e. passyunk) area. It’s a shame that wages and opportunity are so stagnant in Philly. Prices go up, and wages don’t move.
