Philadelphia Museum of Art offering free admission to South Philly residents

If you’ve walked down East Passyunk Avenue any time in the past few months, you’ve probably seen the Inside Out art installations around the area.

Inside Out
“Estate” by Robert Rauschenberg, located outside of Noord.

Since they are art reproductions from the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the museum is offering free admission to South Philly residents on select days in July so you can come see the real artworks at the museum.

If you live in the zip codes 19145, 19146, 19147 or 19148, you’re eligible for free admission.

These ” Free Zip Code Days” are specifically for the areas that are playing host to these art reproductions. The days for free admission are from July 17 through July 19.

If you haven’t had a chance to check out the reproductions in the area yet, you can check out the full map of them here.

Nice. What a cool idea. I admit that I’ll be a little sad when the Inside Out paintings disappear from my neighborhood…
