Darien and Catharine Indego station now the largest in the city

Since Philadelphia’s bike share program, called Indego, launched earlier this year, it has become a popular method of transportation throughout the city.

With so many of those blue bikes being used, certain stations are expanding. The station at Darien and Catharine Streets has been a popular location, so additional docks were installed, making it the largest station in the city so far.

With the addition of 9 docks, there are now 29 docks at Darien and Catharine Streets. For now, Bella Vista has the biggest bike share location in the city.

Another South Philly Indego addition is at Front and Carpenter Streets, where an additional 4 docks were installed.

That should be in phase 2 next year, assuming they expand based on their initial projections.

Put some Indego’s in the lot on 16xx E. Passyunk. Or better yet, turn that lot into some green-space!
