Before you can stop in for a full meal and drink at this new restaurant at 943 S. 9th St., you’ll have a chance to preview the menu at American Sardine Bar.

Restaurant Neuf’s menu will include African Cuisine with French influences. Unlike Noord, which is a BYOB, this spot has a liquor license and will be serving a variety of cocktails.

Fennel three ways

More from Foobooz:

Cornell will be testing out several cocktails including a Cynar Sour and a riff on a cognac French 75. While the wine will feature Southern French and even Moroccan offerings, Cornell will play around with French spirits and herbs and spice blends that will also be in the food, but he doesn’t want to get boxed in too much by those ingredients.

And since you can’t truly appreciate the drinks without the food, Lachman will be offering samples of the food from Neuf, including:

  • Braised lamb couscous with a tomato broth
  • Swordfish with pistachio over flageolet beans
  • Salad of fennel three ways
