Buy advance tickets for cheaper drinks at South Philly Sausage Fest

West Passyunk is seeing a lot of new additions these days with the soon-to-open Chaat and Chai, Sit and Spin Records’ new location and more. One of the other fun new things coming to the west side of Broad Street is South Philly Sausage Fest, a new festival that’s happening on Saturday, September 12 on West Passyunk Avenue at Broad Street.

If you’re planning on attending this event full of sausage, beer and more from local businesses, you still have some time to buy advance tickets for cheaper beers.

Beers at the event will be $6, but if you buy in advance you can get packs of tickets to minimize the cost for maximal beer. Three tickets cost $12, which makes each beer $4. Ten tickets will cost you $35, or $3.50 per beer.

The beer list for the event includes a selection from local breweries including:

Puddlers Row Extra Special Bitter, Doll’s Eye Cascadian Dark Ale – Conshohocken Brewing Company
Kenzo’lantern, Newbold – Philadelphia Brewing Company
Spiced IPA, Point Breeze Pale Ale – Point Breeze Brewing Company
Foul Weather Jack, Koffee Kolsch – Saint Benjamins Brewing Company
Oktoberfest, Dad Vail Pale Ale – Sly Fox Brewing Company
Imperial Pumpkin, Tarte Nouveau – Weyerbacher Brewing Company

Since this is a sausage festival, you’ll be able to try out a variety of sausage-related foods from Cafe y Chocolate, Chaat and Chai, Chucks Homemade Water Ice, Grubhouse, Miss Rachel’s Pantry, Philly Pretzel Factory and Taproom on 19th.

You can buy pre-sale drink tickets until Friday, September 11. Find them on South Philly Sausage Fest’s website.

The event runs from 12 p.m. through 8 p.m. on Saturday, September 12. Although the event begins at noon, kids-oriented activities are happening earlier in the day and beer won’t be served until 2:30 p.m.

Money raised at the event will go towards the Newbold Community Development Corporation’s efforts to raise money for their street cleaning program.
