Located just off of Fabric Row at 410 Fitzwater St., Rare Co. is a curated antique shop that opened just last week.

Shop owner Jeremy Olsen has been a collector for pretty much all of his life, thanks to the influence of his family. This is the first storefront for his business. Previously, he sold goods at flea markets in Philly, along with goods sold to clients.

Olsen decided to open in this location based on the scale of the space which would allow for the display of pieces large and small–along with the stores connectedness to Moon + Arrow (both stores are literally connected, so you can enjoy a joint shopping experience with both shops).

As you can see from the photos, Rare Co. does have a little bit of everything. Olsen especially loves collecting old signage, along with unique pieces of sculpture and art, but he also has a knack for finding smaller objects. Rare Co. will soon be opening up their upstairs space as a room for more smaller items to be displayed.

Race Co.’s opening adds to a list of new things coming to Fabric Row. A designer boutique called Oxymoron just opened, a cat cafe will be coming in 2016 and a new restaurant called Hungry Pigeon is also coming soon.

Rare Co. hopes to be constantly circulating in new inventory and should be changing the specific layouts in the shop monthly.

A massive mask Olsen found on a trip to Bali. He has six of them–and they can be yours for between $1300 and $2000 a piece.

For now, the shop will maintain the same hours as Moon + Arrow. You can stop in from Tuesday through Saturday between 12 p.m. and 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 12 p.m. through 5 p.m. Rare Co. is on Instagram here.

The address can’t be 401 Fitzwater since it’s on the even side of the street. It is probably 410 Fitzwater
