Luna Theater Company’s future is unknown with the closing of their current theater space

Two years ago Luna Theater Company moved to their new, “permanent” home at the Episcopal church at 620 S 8th St.

Now the Parish is closing, leaving the company’s future unknown.

Prior to moving to Bella Vista, the company performed at the Walnut Street Theater and the Adrienne Theater for a total of 11 years.

More from Philly Mag:

Campbell notes that Luna has no plans to close as a company, but their future is very much up in the air. “Do we search for another permanent home, a partnership, or return to renting at another space? …  Right now, we are in damage control: getting ready to either store, sell or remove as much as possible from our extensive inventory. Though sadly since most of the funding went into the construction, electrical and rigging — most funded improvements cannot be recouped.”

Their last performance in the space will be Animal Farm, which opens tomorrow and runs through November 7. You can buy tickets to the show here, or show support for Luna Theater through donations.
