First Pics: Sneaker boutique opens at 12th and Passyunk

In the span of a year, 1713 S. 12th St. has seen a total of three tenants. “Mob Wives”-run Addiction Boutique closed in January and Jillayne’s Boutique only lasted a few months in the location.

Now a new business is giving this spot a try. ReUp Sneaker Boutique is a specialty store for sneaker collectors that opened at 12th and Passyunk last week.

Sneaker collecting has become increasingly popular in recent years. ReUp is bringing that trend to East Passyunk Avenue with a selection of new and consignment sneakers. They mainly stock basketball and collectible sneakers.

The store hopes to host monthly events with relevant people in the sneaker industry. Another attraction at the store is their boardwalk-like game machine where you can win sneakers.

In addition to purchasing your shoes here, ReUp has a shoe cleaning service, along with supplies you can purchase to clean your sneakers at home. Cleaning services range from $5 to $35, depending on what you plan to have done.

The people that work in here look dumb as bricks, and I’m assuming those who would shop here would be as well.

This is the kind of place that is run with Daddy’s money because he wants to make his dipsh*t son happy. Have you seen the 40-something-no-hands-segway-hoverboard(?)-riding dude who runs this place? Jesus.
