Video shows cool look at familiar South Philly sight of shoes on power lines
Do you remember the video of puppets skateboarding around the city, including a few spots in South Philly?
The creator of that video, Andy Rothwell, is back with an oddly hypnotic video of shoes hanging from power lines throughout South Philly.
Rothwell is a South Philly native who has seen these hanging shoes so frequently around the area. He filmed this familiar sight with a time-lapse treatment to show the subtle movements of the shoes while hanging from power lines.
You can spot locations like Bok, the Rizzo mural on 9th Street and more throughout the video.
There’s no need to glorify people throwing trash up in the wires.
I guess this video is just a time-lapse of drug dealer locations…
