Work being done on former Wishing Well location at 9th and Catharine

One of our loyal readers pointed out this construction work to us. Like that friendly neighborhood tipster, if you see something, say something – in an email to punk@passyunkpost.com.

It’s only been a month since Wishing Well closed at 767 S. 9th St., but work is already being done to the location.

While we don’t know if this means there’s already a new tenant lined up, it’s at least some improvement to this corner building in Bella Vista.

This building was sold to a new owner in September, which then lead to the eviction of Wishing Well. The bar had been operating out of this location for 6 years, but was pushed out due to problems with back rent.

From the photo, it appears that the shingles are being replaced, along with other improvements to the exterior of the building.

They removed the ugly overhang to expose the existing brick and shingles. It really opened up the space and makes the entire block brighter.

Rumor is that someone affiliated with Ralphs across the street all be opening a more upscale establishment.
