Get into the holiday spirit with the Singing Fountain tree lighting this Thursday

Now that it’s December, the holiday season is getting into full gear.

The East Passyunk Avenue tree lighting ceremony at the Singing Fountain is happening on Thursday, December 3.

The annual party will bring together the neighborhood with plenty of Christmas cheer. There will be music from carolers at Alphabet Academy, students at Andrew Jackson Elementary playing some tunes, along with the Joe King Trio playing holiday music along the Avenue.

There will also be a special appearance from Santa Claus–because it wouldn’t be a holiday party without him.

Since you’ll already out for the tree lighting, you’ll also have the chance to pick up some gifts for the holidays at local shops that are staying open late for this holiday party.

The Tree Lighting Party is happening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. You can find out more about the event here.

Afterwards, cross the street for free cigarettes outside of Chiarella’s!
