The ride will put you on a fun-filled tour of the lights of South Philadelphia on this seven-mile ride on Wednesday, December 16.

In past years, as many as 100 or more cyclists came out to enjoy the holiday cheer on this ride. While this year the Bicycle Coalition’s staff will not be leading the ride, they will be providing a route and starting point for you to join the fellow cyclists on the tour.

The ride begins at 5 p.m. and it’s recommended that you ride at a leisurely pace to fully experience the holiday cheer in our favorite neighborhoods. The Bicycle Coalition expects that the ride will take about two hours. Once you’ve seen all the holiday lights, stop by SouthHouse at 2535 S. 13th St. for a holiday party beginning at 7 p.m. A portion of sales at the party will be donated back to the Bicycle Coalition.

While it’s not a requirement, all cyclists are encouraged to deck out your bike in holiday decorations, and yourself with holiday costumes (’tis the season for ugly sweaters).

If you’re interested in joining in on this bike ride, RSVP here to receive a cue sheet with more information on the locations visited throughout the ride, including the starting point for the ride.
