Co-working space and ground floor retail to open in former Pearl building on South Street

Most recently the Pearl Art & Craft building at 417-21 South St. was home to Millenium Dance Complex, a massive dance facility. Millenium ended up being short-lived, lasting less than a year here.

Changes are now on the horizon for this building which has been vacant since the summertime, with two-stories of co-working spaces set to open on the upper levels of the building, along with a new ground-floor retail space.

Information on the new tenants is limited at this time, but according to Mike Harris of the South Street Headhouse District, this co-working space will be the first-ever in the district and will include about 100 desks or offices over two floors of the 27,269 sq. ft. building.

The new tenants will be moving forward with some renovations, seeing that the last tenants used the space for dance studios. As of right now, a tenant has not been acquired for the ground floor commercial space.
