No, Councilman Kenyatta Johnson is not stuck in the Philippines

Have you heard from your 2nd District Councilman lately?

Readers let us know about a little phishing scam funneled through an old email address for Councilman Kenyatta Johnson saying he was robbed at gunpoint in the Philippines.

In case you were worried, he’s not actually stuck without luggage or money (such a shocker, isn’t it?). This message has been circulating from Johnson’s email with his old advocacy group, Peace Not Guns.

Yesterday a member of Johnson’s staff confirmed that his account was indeed hacked. His life, passport and luggage are all safe and sound here in Philadelphia.
