PPD seeking suspect in hit and run of mother and two children at Broad and Dickinson

Around 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 2, a hit and run occurred at the intersection of Broad and Dickinson Streets, injuring a 30-year-old mother and her two children, aged 5-years-old and 4-months-old.

The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking the suspect and vehicle involved in this incident that occurred right outside of Benna’s West. The car involved in this hit and run is believed to be a 2001 red Honda Accord.

According to NBC10, mother was treated for head injuries and as of Wednesday was in critical but stable condition. Both of the children are in stable condition. The 5-year-old girl has a broken leg and femur and the 4-month-old boy suffered scrapes to his head.

The vehicle fled the scene, going east on Dickinson Street. The car is said to be missing a passenger-side mirror and it may also have damage to the hood. Beyond the description of the car, there is no information available on the driver.
