Occasionette expanding, HOME to relocate away from East Passyunk Avenue

About a year ago, Occasionette and HOME united under one roof at 1825 E. Passyunk Ave.

A sketch of changes coming to Occasionette.

Now the two stores are splitting apart, allowing Occasionette to expand and HOME to relocate to a new location off of East Passyunk Avenue.

Occasionette’s plans allow for the store to nearly double in size. Owner Sara Villari is looking to bring in an even bigger selection of cards, gift wrapping paper and stationary. You can also expect to see plenty more gifts for babies and kids, along with an added inventory of kitchen and cocktail gifts. Villari also noted some “new surprises” coming to the redesigned shop.

The store will begin this transformation on March 1 and will be completed within a few weeks. It will be finished in advance of their  three year anniversary party on Saturday, April 9.

Future plans for HOME are not clear just yet. We have yet to hear back about their plans for the future, other than a Facebook posting announcing that this change will take them away from East Passyunk Avenue. They will be open through February, running sales on much of their merchandise to clear some of their inventory for the move.
