Single-family homes could replace former location of Goldstein’s

After 114 years, Golstein’s closed their doors in Queen Village and relocated to a new location in Lower Moyamensing earlier in February.

That move then left the state of the building in flux. What would move in here? Turns out, plans for the building at 807-809 S. 6th St. may not include a new commercial space.

A zoning notice posted on the building shows an application for the reallocation of lot lines for an addition to be built to create three four-story, single-family homes. The property is currently considered to be two lots, but this applicant hopes to split it into three. The two lots are approximately 2,212 sq. ft each. A roof deck is included in the proposal above the fourth floor.
