Large vape shop opening in almost completed development at 13th and South
In the development being called the Residence at Twelve40, a pretty large vape shop is set to open on the ground floor.
This previously long-time vacant lot has now become a mix of 21 condos, 18 parking spaces and ground-floor retail at 13th and South. Also new to this corner is Sansom Kabob House, which opened up shop across the street in 2015. This intersection has seen a transformation over the past year, from vacancies to activity.
The vape shop is a chain store called Vaporfi. They will be bringing their selection of e-cigarettes, e-liquids and accessories to this near-completed development. The location is still under construction, but they’re seeking employees to work in this new shop upon opening.
Maybe not the most appealing of retail options, with an increase of vape shops around the city, but it fits in with other similar shops along South Street.
Sweet, I was just saying to my wife, you know what this (and really every) neighborhood needs? More vape shops!
Vape stores need to be regulated. There is no way they can prove that their “juice” is non-toxic. They’re just getting a whole new generation hooked on nicotine. At the least tax the crap out of it.
I agree with Lou on vape products and health. This crap is already proving to be as/more toxic than cigarettes in preliminary studies. And these shops suck.
We, as a community, need to band together and let them know that their shops and the vapists they attract are NOT WELCOME.
