Fireside Camp Supply closing on South Street West
We wrote about Fireside Camp Supply when they first opened in 2013, bringing camping and wilderness supplies to South Street West.
Now three years later, the physical location of this store is closing at 2207 South St.
From the start of the business, owner Christina Saboe wanted this to be a “local alternative” for anyone who enjoys camping but doesn’t want to leave Philly to buy supplies. The closing of this storefront isn’t the end of this business. Instead of going to South Street to pick up all of your camping supplies, you can now do so online. Saboe will be operating this as a rental delivery service and online gift shop, where deliveries will be made to your door by bicycle.
There is currently a promotion for 30% of all in-store purchases. You can also attend a store closing party on Friday, April 1 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for free beer and s’mores, along with one of the last chances to buy from the store.
